The Christmas Spirit was interrupted yesterday for a celebration of a different kind. Yes it was my birthday. I don’t usually celebrate that time of year as it is all about me every day anyway. Haha…My fabulous children though decided it would be a great idea to take the oldies out for dinner and clubbin. Ha! how hard could it be. This being the first opportunity for us to go out with the kids (both now over 18) and participate in their world for a nite. Just one nite…..

So Brekky was 7.30 by the river. Not your average brekky but look what my friend and I had. Yummmmm. Oh did you really think it would be a fruit platter? Nah, it had to be the ”Hazelnut chocolate meringue torte” for me. Lisa chose a little healthier with the “Hummingbird cake”. And not to forget the coffees and water.

After shopping all day with my daughter we finally decided on a dress that would be appropriate for clubbin? How interesting that was. Then after a few more pressy surprises and pre dinner drinks it was off to our local surfclub for dinner. Then the dancing began. We moved onto the Niteclub till the early hours of the morning.(2.30) Lots more dancing, crazy dancesteps, light footwork, and heavy, a few Zumba moves thrown in, singing, yelling, very loud music, and much fun and laughter. Did I mention very loud music and sore feet? I had forgotten just how loud it gets inside a niteclub. A wonderful evening was had by all. The oldies and the youngins.
